Acne…what is it?
Acne occurs when oil, bacteria, and skin cells get trapped in our skin’s pores leading to blackheads, whiteheads, cysts or pustules.
…who does it affect?
Acne affects all age groups but the majority of sufferers are teenagers
…how does one deal with it?
Acne, like all other skin problems, should be tackled the natural, organic way. Applying layer after layer of mineral-oil based products is not going to help the situation any.
That chemical-filled remedy you have stashed in your medicine cabinet might get the job done in time for you to look fabulous for that wedding next week, but, imagine the long term damage it’s causing to the outer layer of your skin - or the epidermis, if you’d like to get scientific about it.
This weakening of the epidermis is what causes premature wrinkles (yes, you will start to look older than you really are), which will lead you to search for more chemical-filled solutions that work overnight yet rake even more damage to the epidermis and so on and so forth. It’s a vicious cycle and one that has made a lot of cosmetic companies successful. Why?
Because they know today’s generation lacks a key ingredient – patience. The faster a product works, the more damaging it’s likely to be to your skin long term.
So…what’s the alternative, do we hear you scream?
Well…our motto is, if it’s good enough to eat, it’s good enough to put on your skin. Therefore, we’ve come up with our very own 3-step process to beating acne naturally.
Step 1
Cleanse your face twice a day. Not with soap (unless it’s 100% natural/organic vegetable glycerine soap) or water-based cleansers. Cleanse with a facial oil cleanser, and as explained in our article about facial oil cleansers, follow the deep pore cleansing method once a week.
Step 2
After cleansing, apply KüK Balancing Herbal Toner. It contains 100% natural ingredients that work synergistically to kill bacteria, reduce inflammation and to tone and tighten the pores.
Step 3
Apply KüK Rose Blossom Balancing Moisturiser, which is also 100% natural and will work to balance sebum production and keep your skin feeling matte and refreshed all day long.
Your body’s natural way of dealing with toxins is to expel them through the liver, intestines and the kidneys. However they can also be expelled through the skin. In order to minimise expulsion through the skin, leading to spots, pimples and all kinds of skin problems, drink 6 - 8 glasses of pure water a day.
This will ensure the majority of these toxins are expelled through the kidneys leaving your skin to do what it does best - look young and make you feel fabulous!
